Altona Community Action Network
Altona Community Action Network began 5 years ago with a conversation around a fire. They are citizens invested in the town of Altona and the surrounding area, concerned about our communities sustainability, and ability to deal with climate change. Over the years they have been involved in small and large projects alike including: establishing year round curbside composting in Altona, managing the community garden, earth day events, compost give-away, community consultation, and much more. They meet regularly as a larger group, while having smaller action groups meet to tackle projects in our community.
Legends Car Club
Legend Car Club members participate in many of the car shows in the province, in the U.S., and in Northern Ontario. We have a very high level of quality vehicles, as a number of the group work in this automotive and restoration industry. We usually place well, and have the reputation of being one of the most active clubs in the province. With our membership now at over 100, we hope to grow and continue to find ways to enjoy our vehicles with others. We accept members from anywhere, so why don’t you join us? We’d love to have you.
Legend's Car Club hosts annual charity events, such as the "Drive for Cancer" and "Airport Drags", along with an annual car show during the Manitoba Sunflower Festival.
